The logo and poster of our Salon



I designed the logo and poster for our Salon.
Introduction to the logo:
The round-shaped background and its red colour represent the passion of the group and it also means the Bubbles is the fresh blood of the hairdressing career. The “Bubbles” stands out for its white colour. The “s” is designed to looks like women’s long hair which is easy to make the customers and potential customers know and memory that it is a hairdressing salon. It has not only one “s” and it means many bubbles which regarded as they can take the members’ dreams flying.

Evaluation Lili

In this activity our objective is to let as much as students know our salon, and I am a consultant in this salon, my job is to introduce to different people what hair style is better or them, and if they want to dye them hair, what color is better for them..
Reflect back from this activity, I think my behaviour is not too bad, because I have answered many questions from different customers. For example, some customers has asked me the price for different types hairs, there have some customers ask me how to cut them hair can let then look more beautiful, then I have told them which shape is better for them and why I choose this shape for them, and most customer have followed my advise, but still have fewer customer does not agree my opinion, so I need to learn more about this then I will can make a better advice for my customers.
In this activity I have learn lots of knowledge that I cannot learn from books. For example, I have learned how to use marketing mix, before I just know the definition about the marketing mix, if you want me to talk about them, I have no idea, but if now you want me talk about it and discuss in different types of business which is the most important part and why, I can answer this easily, and from this activity I have learned the best way for students to remember and learn something is from practice experience, because before if I want to remember some important thing from the book, I need to write it about 7 times then I can remember it, but in this activity I can remember things easily, because I have done everything by myself, so is much more easier for me to remember it. I think we can do more activities like this, is helpful for our study.

Evaluation Sunil

As the marketing manager of the bubbles hair salon I think the business idea worked quite well and everything pretty much went according to the plan, our publicity through posters, SMS and e-mails worked pretty well and we were even successful in targeting the student market, we served our customers according to their choice and the credit goes to our hair stylist Yang, she did a pretty good job.
Over all we did well, got a good response from the customers as well, we were good at publicity. The new trend of hair cut at your home worked quite well, we were even good at selling out quality products such as shampoos and colors. Our weaknesses were that we did not have a particular shop and the proper barber chairs but we some how managed to provide what customers wanted efficiently.
I think I did a good job and I learnt many things, I should have even targeted other markets such as working class. I learnt how to talk and deal with the customers.

As the finical manger our business went well as a new business after spending our capital money on the project we got everything ready and advertised for it . Also we did have a success as a new business we expected to have some losses but we broke even which we saw as a success for us as a start. with a little more experience , research and analysis a expect a future version of this business to make a profit and to be well known

Evaluation Chris

My major work in my group is analysis marketing and a person who will link with customers; like customers feedback. In addition, I am sure it is important part of our business.
First of all, I just discuss with my pairs and make some important points of our business. Then I according some research did a marketing analysis. So I just want to point out my something not enough good and some good things, one more thing I want to write is improvement for myself.
Firstly, my strengths are I just did my marketing analysis very cautious and all of it has enough evidence. Moreover, after customer feedback, I always convey everyone, I just expect everyone of my group need to know how customer thinking.
However, my weakness is I am so shy that I cannot communication well with
all of our consumers. I just did more things and questions of my friends. Furthermore, I think I am only did a very limit part of group work compare with my group mates.
The improvements of me are firstly I want to become more confidence because it better of me can talk with people. Secondly, I want to do more things of my groups, I just expect share more stress of everyone.

My job in group is publicize and marketing mix analysis, For publicize, my ideas are using internet and poster to advertise because it will help us saving money , internet advertising is out our advertising to Swansea university home page , to let students know how to contact us and it also have price and service time on it .
Using poster is put poster on Message board on Icws bundling and students living room in university, in my mind it is best and fast way to publicize
Marketing mix analysis is using the place, promotion, people, product, price physical evidence, and process to analysis Babbles barber shop. I have more detail in group report.
This 3 week I study how to use marketing mix to analysis a product or a brand in market and also I lean use right way with rational cost to publicizing. The most important is how to make a team work with my partners.

Swot analysis

I finished the SWOT analysis
Strength
o Convenient: visiting service means that the staffs will go to your house to give fantastic services.
o Reasonable price: haircut for male is £6 and female is £8. No one can deny that it is much cheaper than other shops or someone
Weaknesses
o Have no enough and complete equipments that means it might not satisfied consumers.
o Transport: people are not just live in one building so that staffs have to take bus or by taxis, and it will increase the cost and sometimes staffs cannot arrive at destination on time for traffic problems.
Opportunities
o Have good relationships with many friends and they can be the potential customers.
o In Swansea, there are very limited people or barbershops are willing to make a visiting service, so it reduced many competitive pressure.

Threats
o Lifestyle: some people only like to enjoy the good environment in the high-level salon and they will not choose Bubbles.
o Limited promotion: lack of capital to spend on the advertising and promotion.
